Questions and answers

Advising is the process of formally notifying of the scheduled arrival or delivery of goods. It involves communicating the expected date of delivery to the consignee or loading location. An advance notice contains key data such as:

  • expected delivery date and time,
  • shipment number,
  • type of goods,
  • transport details (e.g. vehicle number, driver details).

Advising allows the consignee to prepare to receive the goods, which may include arranging storage space, scheduling the appropriate equipment for unloading or informing the appropriate personnel. This is an important element in the logistics process, especially in industries where goods handling requires precise organization.

Before clearing cargo, it’s a good idea to make sure that all necessary documents are complete and properly filled out. Here is a list of key documents that are usually required:

  • Waybill (B/L) – a document confirming the conclusion of a transport contract and the conditions of transport of goods.
  • Commercial invoice – contains information about the value of the goods, transaction details and details of the seller and buyer.
  • Copy of ID card
  • Authorization

The anonymization of an ID card is particularly important because of the personal information it contains that can be used to identify an individual. When anonymizing an identity card, such as an ID card, it is important to pay attention to several key elements.

Data that should be visible:

  • name/names
  • last name
  • PESEL number
  • name, series and document number
  • document expiration date
  • the lower part on the other side of the document (so-called MRZ zone)
